Elevate your English communication skills at our meeting

Wonder how CU Gavel Club elevate English communication skills, leadership skills and career skills?

Our meeting is specially designed into four separate sessions. Each one will either boost the participants’ self-confidence or provide the opportunities for the members to learn from constructive feedback and suggestions.

Moreover, the members can learn the basic leadership skills through the meeting roles and club officer positions. Our advisors will constantly provide guidance and coaching sessions for the members under this development program.

Our meeting sessions


The Edutainment session features knowledge, tips and techniques learning for the participants. The topic of the session varies every week with different categories, e.g., communication, public speaking, leadership, career skills and entertaining games.


Table Topics®

The Table Topics® is Toastmasters International’s unique session to improve impromptu speeches or speaking without preparation. The activity allows the participants to practice controlling nervousness, building self-confidence and answering with more power.


Prepared Speeches

The Prepared Speech is the session where CU Gavel Club members work on Toastmasters International’s communication skills development program, e.g., Competent Communication, Advanced Communication Bronze and etc. Each project in the program will focus on the different approaches of the skills, such as speech organization, body languages, visual aids or etc. Learn more about our educational programs.



The Evaluation is the period where the advisors and members share their constructive feedback to one another. The participants will learn from the strong points of other members, and highlight the areas where everyone needs careful attention. The key success of this session is through positive and friendly environment.
